Our Story
In 2010, Founder Jeannie Magri worked in supporting families and children separated by child services. When our Founder researched many of these matters, the common link was many of these families started out like many others, lacking access to appropriate support, falling within the cracks of system meant to protect our children.

In 2014,Family Development Practice, Power Courage Voice, providing support for children and parents struggling through typical family challenges, giving opportunities for families to access support and remedy to their conflicts.
In 2017, the appointment of Family Reportable Supervision of high risk and complex matters, found Jeannie further discovery of a repeated pattern within the Family Legal system, where parents were limited to power once the family court process commenced, causing further fuelling not just by the parties, but by the system, it was clear since Jeannie's personal experience in the legal system, that nothing much had improved.
In 2018, Parenting Together Apart for Parents NOT Together was created to focus specifically for families experiencing separation, with its focus to provide a measure for change for separated families, focusing on separated parents to maintain their power outside the legal system, saving them thousands of dollars in legal fees, by settling their matters outside of court.

Between 2000 to 2014, Jeannie's real-life experience within the Australian Family Law Court process, noted gaps, loopholes and the brutal reality of a system that its only focus was to financially and emotionally destroy families.
After 18 separate applications made by the other party, a ban was ordered to cease from any further applications to be submitted to the Family Court, finalising Jeannie’s journey in the family law court legal system. Without time wasted, Jeannie started to structure a plan to fill the gaps and loopholes she endured, and now in our tenth year, PTA with PCV have provided support for separated families, saving them thousands of dollars of legal court costs, helping parents stay focused on the next chapter of their lives sooner. Jeannie has remained focused on not changing a system but working with parents one family at a time.
The PTA Network Professional Partners are an added resource for our parents seeking support with our integrated services, giving parents additional support where required. PCV and PTA have worked with hundreds of parents and children and continue to pave the way for change!
